Welcome
AI-supported art authentication is our new focus. This new business domain has the potential to revolutionize the art market by combining cutting-edge AI technology with traditional validation methods to identify genuine masterpieces amidst a sea of forgeries. There are many owners of artworks claiming originality. By using AI to quickly and accurately assess the likelihood of authenticity, we are in a superior position to identify the most interesting works, allowing our experts to focus on these most promising pieces.
By leveraging AI for initial validation and supplementing it with provenance research, expert reports, and chemical and physical analysis, our method offers a faster, more reliable path to confirming authenticity, making it a game-changer for art collectors and investors alike. This type of validation has only existed for a short time and represents a fast-growing new market niche with potentially high profits. Very few companies are offering such services today. Atlans is dedicated to becoming a player and innovation leader in this dynamic market.
Our History:
Atlans was, and continues to be, involved in projects within the creative and arts domain, implementing cutting-edge technology and innovative new approaches. Over the last 35 years, we have collaborated with and worked for numerous renowned brands and large organizations, including Swarovski, Red Bull, Daimler AG, Porsche, Greenpeace, the Buckminster Fuller Institute, WWF, IKEA, VELUX, FIFA, DFB, as well as institutions like the City of Vienna, the United Nations, the Federal Government of Germany, and the Government of the Emirate of Sharjah. Additionally, we have partnered with leading research organizations such as NASA, Harvard University, MIT, DLR, several Fraunhofer Institutes, and the University of Vienna.
Among these projects were several groundbreaking initiatives, including the development of a method for digitizing Austria: from 1989 to 1999, a team of 250 experts from the Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying and the Federal Data Processing Center digitized all maps of Austria—the largest digitization project in the country’s history. Other notable achievements include the creation of the world’s first “Virtual World” in collaboration with Prof. Tokoro of Sony Computer Labs, Tokyo, and Prof. Loeffler from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, in 1993—a technology that later evolved into a multi-billion-dollar industry. Part of our creative efforts was the successful management of the final presentation for Germany’s bid to host the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the world’s largest event in terms of viewership and revenue.
We will continue using Atlans as a vehicle for projects that merge creativity and technology. Information on past projects can be found at the website of Atlans founder Christian Bauer: https://chrisbauer.com.
